The Process

How it works: a step by step outline of the process of your website design

First, I will meet with you to discuss your vision, goals, and plan for your site. In this meeting, I will try to get an understanding of your company, who you are, and how I can best represent that in my design.

Once we have come to agreement on the overall look, design, and needs for your site, I will develop what I call a “proof”. This proof is basically a picture of what your site will look like. This is the stage in which all major changes should be noted. Any color, format, or significant changes that you desire should be made known to me at this time before I proceed. Once needed changes are made, I will ask that you approve it.

After the proof has been approved, I will then move on to the actual HTML design. This stage is where I take what I created in the proof, and turn it into  a working HTML site. This will be a skeleton site that will have all of the design elements of the final draft, as well as areas for content. This is what will be considered your site “comp”. When I have completed the comp, I will send it to you along with an invoice for a deposit of half of the total website cost.

Prior to completion, a deposit and 2nd approval must be received. Once I have obtained both of these, I will complete your site by adding in all necessary content, and detailed elements.  I will again post the site for you to see, and when final payment has been received, your site will become live.
